Those who sign up for VCOG's newsletter or listerv, those who become members of VCOG or those who donate to the organization are asked to provide their e-mail address. VCOG will keep these e-mail lists confidential and not market, sell or give away the list to a third party.

VCOG reserves the right to e-mail registrants periodic solicitations for membership or charitable donations to  support VCOG's operating budget and to help defray the cost of providing three newsletters a year, legislative lobbying for open government, Web site maintenance, listerv distribution and all the many services VCOG provides for the public.

VCOG reserves the right to change this privacy policy, but also agrees to notify all registered users in advance of any significant changes and to give registered users the option of opting out before implementing such changes.
